Lantern Hollow
★★★★★ 4.7
Lantern Hollow is a slow, atmospheric adventure that trusts you to wander. You arrive in a foggy village with a broken lantern and slowly piece together what happened to the people who left. There's no combat — it's all exploration, light puzzle-solving, and conversations that unfold at their own pace.
What got me was the mood. Every screen is hand-painted, rain taps the windows, and the soundtrack is just a soft piano that fades in and out. Puzzles mostly revolve around lighting lanterns in the right sequence to reveal paths, and they're clever without ever being obtuse.
It's short — maybe five hours — but I didn't want it to end. If you like games that feel more like a walk than a grind, this is an easy recommendation.
